The team will be racing against competitors from Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine and USA. The British contingent included 19 athletes, two coaches and one sports therapist competing in the women’s small boat and small boat mixed categories. The hotel's head chef, Darren Campbell, prepared a feast which the team enjoyed in the recently re-opened rooftop Carpathia restaurant against the backdrop of the city’s waterfront. The team spent the evening at the newly acquired 30 James Street Hotel for a final squad dinner before they set off for the International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships in Thailand which takes place between August 8 and 13. Team GB's Premier Dragon Boat Squad spent the evening in Liverpool ahead of a huge Championship competition in Thailand.
